Guided Forest Therapy Walks

Guided Forest Therapy experiences focuses on the therapeutic and holistic benefits of being among the trees and in connection with Nature. They can happen in a forest or in any outdoor setting with elements of nature. These mindful walks include guided stops along the way allowing participants to simply be with the forest. As a certified Forest Therapy Guide, Shawn Ramsey will facilitate experiences that encourage participants to open their senses through a series of nature-connected invitations, and to awaken the remembrance of our interconnection with nature, ourselves and all of life. Each walk closes with a tea ceremony honoring the earth, ourselves and each other.

Forest Therapy is derived from the Japanese practice of "Shinrin-yoku" (which translates to "Forest Bath" ) which began in the 1980s when research demonstrated the health benefits of reconnecting with nature in an increasingly industrial world.

Length of workshop will vary depending on the number of participants, but typically lasts approximately 2-3 hours.

Seeing Yourself Through Nature’s Lens

This immersive self-discovery experience combines nature and photography to create a unique opportunity to gain valuable personal insights that can you help you feel more grounded and more connected. No photography experience is necessary. All you need is a phone with a camera, an open mind and a willingness to explore yourself and nature.  

Shawn Ramsey is a certified Forest Therapy Guide and coach with expertise in Positive Psychology, Positive Intelligence, The Science of Happiness and more. She is also an amateur photographer, with a passion for nature and wildlife.

This is not a photography class, and no photography experience is necessary. The intention of this workshop is to ultimately help you see yourself and the world around you differently, to connect better with Mother Nature, tap into the energy and insights available to you and reconnect with your authentic self.

The workshop begins with a group discussion, a guided breathing exercise and a few self-discovery exercises. Participants will then spend time in nature as Shawn guides and encourages them to see and experience their surroundings through a new lens. They will then take time on their own to explore nature and take photos reflective of the self/group discovery work. Following this excursion and exploration portion, participants will spend some time journaling about what they have seen and experienced, then come back together for group sharing and discussion.  

Length of workshop will vary depending on the number of participants, but typically lasts at lest two hours.

Restoryation Workshop

The purpose of this workshop is to encourage participants to not simply change the story we are telling ourselves and others, but to actively create a different story about ourselves and our relationship to the world around us. More details coming soon.
